Dana has more than 20 years of professional communication expertise, having practiced in small business as well as large corporations. Now, as owner and principal operator of an award-winning visual communication company, Dana has a diverse customer base and covers a wide range of communication services that include strategic communication development, brand management, and the design and implementation of marketing materials.

Dana’s career-long experience with Aboriginal communities encompasses more than 30 bands and organizations, always focusing on building relationships, honouring culture, and creating sustainable futures for First Nation peoples. Projects and partnerships have been in the areas of Aboriginal health, resource management, community planning, industry relations, and capacity building.

Dana holds a Master of Arts degree in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University as well as diplomas in both design and computer programming from Thompson Rivers University.

In addition to consulting, she teaches in the digital communications certificate program at Simon Fraser University. Her professional experience includes high-tech, nonprofit, and regulated utility industries. Her expertise includes strategy development, community consultation, stakeholder relations, social media engagement, content strategy, digital marketing and web/social analytics, search engine optimization (SEO), social media governance, and online engagement. This diversity of experience results in her work being consistently holistic and strategically driven.

Tara has Master of Arts in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University.

Ingrid Brakop | Kamloops, BC


Ingrid has over 15 years of professional experience working within a crown corporation, specializing in building business relationships between private and public businesses, organizations and individuals.

Ingrid is a regional Road Safety Coordinator for ICBC and manages diverse communities within the Southern Interior and Kootenay regions of BC. She initiates, develops, and implements strategies and tactics relative to road safety for community groups, provincial agencies, and private organizations. Through her work, Ingrid has gained an understanding of the intricacies involved with cultivating professional relationships within the framework of public sector while building and extending value to the private sector and vice versa.

Throughout her career Ingrid has identified and developed her skill set to include practical “on the ground” communication skills, strategic networking, focused planning, and team building. Ingrid is also the media liaison for regional corporate affairs and can often be seen and heard in local news.

Ingrid continues to build her skills through internal corporate coursework. She recently completed a Critical Thinking and Business Writing Skills program as part of her application process into the MA in Leadership program at Royal Roads University.
